Jacqueline Carey is the author of the Kushiel’s Legacy series. Her world of Terre d’Ange and its celebration of the Longest Night are the inspiration and guiding forces behind our weekend of events.
Ms. Carey’s other creations include Miranda and Caliban, The Sundering epic fantasy duology Banewreaker and Godslayer, postmodern fables Santa Olivia and Saints Astray, the Agent of Hel contemporary fantasy series, and the epic standalone fantasy Starless. Her most recent creation, Cassiel’s Servant, which tells the story of Kushiel’s Dart from the perspective of Jocelin Verreuil, will be released in August 2023.
Ms. Carey’s world building is second to none and, if you have not already, we strongly encourage you to settle in with any her books (and then keep reading until you have finished every single one). A word of caution: you will find the time disappearing as you get lost in her extensive universes.
Ms. Carey makes her home in Michigan, but travels the globe – a fact quite obvious from her works.
